Ride in Spain along this beautiful course. It has a single Cat 3 climb and is great for testing your legs.

RIDE RECAP:

This was another great ride. We had 93 riders signed up for this one, making it the largest group ride to date!

This was a really tough one with a moderate cat 3 climb in the middle with a lot of switch backs. The group got pretty strung out over the climb then mostly regrouped on the downhill and straight stretches. The tempo was fast and furious at times.

After the Cat 3 climb, we had about 5-10 riders in front of us that we managed to catch on the downhill section of the course.

The braking in the corners was particularly annoying if you were trying to chase, but I guess overall, it equalized the lead group riders and the chasers.

I managed to have a Strava best, including highest 8 minute power outage. Overall watt average for the ride was 243 watts. I did feel it. I managed to hang on for 8th at the finish.

The Strava segment is 3.51 KM in distance/Cat 3 Climb with an average gradient of 5.6%.

This course is a middle distance course of 22.17 miles with an average gradient of 1% with a maximum of 15%, with an elevation of 904 feet. The course was added to ROUVY on July 15, 2024. The course has a 3 km climb in the middle of the ride with an equally long downhill over the Cat 3 climb.
