RIDE RECAP:
This was another amazing ride with over 50 riders! The course was particularly fun because it was filmed during the traditional Rund um Köln cycling race as a “May Classic”.
There were a lot of rolling hills and 3 small climbs. A few of them kicked up to over 10% gradient, which made it challenging.
After the climbs, most of the remaining ride had a downhill gradient and was pretty fast coming in! There was a small 1 man breakaway with about a mile to go and we all sprinted for the line in the last half mild. I managed to finish 4th. Overall, a great tempo ride with some easy and hard sections of riding.
