GWA Madagascar | Stage 1 – Ampefy

RIDE RECAP:

Today, on the first leg of the Madegascar journey, we cycled through Ampefy, a tourist attraction located west of Antananarivo. We had a small group of elite riders duking it out on the hills. The region is known for its proximity to Lake Itasy, the third-largest lake in the country. It features natural attractions like the Lily Waterfall and the nearby geysers of Analavory. You’ll see many terraced farmlands combining agriculture with unique geological features.

This was a Tempo ride, so the ride was more intense ranging from 3.0 watts/kg and higher. We only had 9 riders and an elite group of 5 at the front. It came down to an uphill sprint at the finish.

Thanks to everyone who participated today!
